3000ft Takes on Somerfield 'Local Life' 2008 Research Programme

3000ft Social Insight Projects have agreed to work with Somerfield to conduct their 'Local Life' research programme, an ongoing study which helps Somerfield to better understand the role of the retailer in supporting local communities and respond to the changing nature of local life in the UK.

Between May and December 2008, the research programme will combine analysis of government and academic research sources with original consumer research, producing fresh insight into a range of future-facing issues surrounding the retail environment, local mobility, local life and local identities.

Commenting, William Nelson, Director of 3000ft, said "We're thrilled to be helping Somerfield in their work in understanding and supporting local communities. This project is a perfect fit for 3000ft, it calls for a depth of evidence-based trends insight across a really broad range of issues, and we'll need to communicate the research effectively to a variety of stakeholders, including the general public."
