Phased Retirement Plans - Best Option for Over 50's

FDS International, strategic insight team 3000ft, recently produced a report for SAGA detailing the impact of the recession on the over – 50’s.

As well as desk research, a nationally representative effective sample of 3,000 over - 50’s found that increasing numbers of older people are leaving full time employment for a better quality of life and to work in voluntary roles within the community. Older people are beginning to reduce work at an average age of 57 and take part-time/voluntary work at a much lower pay threshold.
