FDS's three telecentres, located in London, Newcastle, and High Wycombe, offer a combined total of more than 120 CATI stations and are used for over half a million interviews each year. In 2007 we replaced much of our industry standard SPSS Quancept software with their latest Dimensions suite of products; ensuring that we remain at the forefront of data collection and sample management technologies. In addition, our High Wycombe telecentre is installed with NEBU software which has recently been extended to our Newcastle office.

The three centres are interconnected with high speed data links and video-conferencing capability. This ensures the seamless transfer of questionnaires, data and effective interviewer briefing. Pilots can be run from either site, and the system can be interrogated from any telephone, on- or off-site anywhere in the world.

In addition to conventional CATI interviewing increasingly we are utilising new ‘mixed-mode’ capabilities which afford optimal respondent strike-rates through offering completion options online and/or on telephone.
